Our Approach
Collaboration and partnerships underlie everything we do. We believe that connecting members of the jazz community who do not normally work together enhances everyone’s ability to achieve the goals we all share.
To leverage the talents and resources of all the local stakeholders in the art, education, and business of jazz, JazzBoston plays a variety of roles:
- Providing a central clearinghouse for information on jazz performances and jazz-related events and resources throughout the Greater Boston area.
- Creating a facilitating network to help connect jazz artists and organizations with each other and with their counterparts in other arts disciplines.
- Acting as a catalyst to identify the top-priority needs and concerns of artists, fans, and venues, and marshal the resources to address them.
- Presenting when we see an opportunity to fill a gap in the scene without duplicating existing activities or competing with other organizations.
