Sponsors and Partners
JazzBoston is proud to recognize our Jazz Week '10 sponsors and partners here and to thank them for caring about the music and its future. We are especially grateful for the support of New England Conservatory, Jazz Week's Primary Sponsor for the second year. NEC's participation in Jazz Week '10 caps the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the school's Jazz Studies Program. We also extend a special thanks to Scullers Jazz Club, a Lead Sponsor of Jazz Week since its revival in 2007, and a warm personal thanks to this year's Friends of Jazz.
We are also proud to have two distinguished local media sponsors once again this year, The Phoenix Media/Communications Group and WGBH 89.7 FM, and a first-time national magazine sponsor, JazzTimes.

Founded in 1848 by an act of the Great and General Court of Massachusetts, the Boston Public Library was the first large free municipal library in the United States. In its last fiscal year, the Library recorded some other interesting firsts: the Library's website had more than 5 million hits; more than 300,000 Boston residents used library cards; and more than 40,000 residents registered for library cards for the first time. In a year-to-year comparison, these numbers equate to a 15% increase in website visits, a 10% increase in residents using library cards, and a 21% increase in new registrations for library cards. www.bpl.org |
